macOS requires ScreenWorks to request permission before capturing your screen.

Any screenshots, recordings, GIFs or exported files are stored only in locations you choose on your Mac.
You remain in complete control of your files.
If you use Optical Character Recognition (OCR), text extraction is performed locally on your device using Apple's built-in technologies whenever available.
We do not upload your images or extracted text for processing.
ScreenWorks does not collect analytics that identify you personally.
If anonymous crash reporting or diagnostic information is enabled through macOS, Apple may collect limited technical information in accordance with Apple's own privacy practices.
ScreenWorks does not include third-party advertising.
We do not sell your personal information.
ScreenWorks is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
